Reliefmaterials were distributed to 300 no. vulnerable families in different areas ofBankura Municipality, sponsored by ATC, India, & CINI, West Bengal. Our volunteers distribute the materials containing food items, soap, masks, andsanitizers, etc following the norms of social distancing, washing their handsbefore and after distribution, wearing masks. We are thankful to Local MLA, Sm.Shampa Daripa and others for cooperation. 

Cash support of Rs. 1000/=each was provided to 15 no of  PLHIV andothers as their life and livelihood are in serious threat. The fund supported by CINI, West Bengal.

COVID – 19 in India has deprived many poor familiesof their income as they are all at home in lockdown situations.  Many of their children slipping intomalnutrition. Pregnant and lactating mothers in these families are goinghungry. This will compromise their immune response and make them moresusceptible to the virus. To combat with the situation 500 Packet of Nutrition Supplement “CINI Nutrimix” was distributedto the children, pregnant and lactating mothers in different places of Bankuratown with the help of local ICDS workers. 

Dry foodration kit containing 25 Kg of Rice, 5 Kg of Pulses, 3 Kg Sugar, 3Kg SunflowerOil, 2Kg of Iodized Salt, 3 Pkts Spices, 2 Pkts Soa-chunk, and 5 Pcs of Soap  per kit, were distributed to 1000 householdscovering 115 villages under Jhalda Sub-division, Purulia in close collaborationwith Govt officials and elected PRI representatives supported by CAREIndia(CISSD) and COCA COLA Foundation. A total of 5943people were reachedthrough this directly.

In thebeneficiaries there were not only poor and marginalized people but many ofthey were physically disabled, widowed, or extremely old and migrantreturnees.
